NVIDIA Blackwell Performance

The GeForce RTX 5090 introduces upgraded streaming multiprocessors, fifth-generation Tensor Cores and fourth-generation Ray Tracing Cores. It delivers advanced performance for 4K and 8K gaming, AI-assisted content creation, 3D rendering, video production and demanding professional applications.

NVIDIA DLSS 4 uses AI-powered rendering and Multi Frame Generation to improve frame rates in supported games. NVIDIA Reflex 2 helps reduce system latency, while full ray tracing and neural rendering deliver more realistic lighting, reflections and environments.

32GB GDDR7 Memory

Advanced Quad-Fan Cooling

ROG Astral introduces ASUS’s first quad-fan graphics-card design. Three front-facing Axial-tech fans work with a fourth rear fan to create a vertical airflow channel through the heatsink.

This configuration increases airflow and pressure by up to 20%, helping the card maintain stable temperatures under sustained gaming, rendering and AI workloads.

Patented Vapor Chamber

A patented vapor chamber uses milled pathways that allow the heatpipes to make improved contact without being flattened. This increases the effective contact area and improves heat transfer from the graphics processor into the heatsink.

Optimized fin spacing, MaxContact technology and a phase-change GPU thermal pad further improve heat dissipation and long-term thermal performance.

Premium Power Delivery

High-current 80-amp MOSFETs provide increased power-delivery headroom for demanding workloads and factory-overclocked operation. The card also includes Power Detector+ monitoring, which can detect abnormal connections across the 16-pin power connector.

A protective PCB coating helps guard against moisture, dust and debris, while ASUS Auto-Extreme manufacturing reduces thermal strain during production.

Reinforced Construction

The die-cast frame, shroud and metal backplate reinforce the graphics card and help protect its large PCB. A 304 stainless-steel I/O bracket provides additional mounting durability.

The supplied white graphics-card holder supports the card inside the chassis and helps reduce stress on the motherboard’s PCI Express slot.

Performance and Quiet BIOS Modes

A physical Dual BIOS switch allows users to select between Performance and Quiet operating profiles.

Performance mode uses a more aggressive fan curve for lower temperatures, while Quiet mode reduces fan activity during moderate workloads without changing the card’s primary power target or maximum performance settings.

ASUS GPU Tweak III

ASUS GPU Tweak III provides real-time monitoring and graphics-card tuning. Users can adjust clock settings, fan behaviour and performance profiles while monitoring GPU, VRAM, VRM and power-delivery information.

Two FanConnect II headers allow compatible chassis fans to respond directly to CPU or GPU temperatures, helping improve overall case airflow.
