NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture

The GeForce RTX 5090 introduces new streaming multiprocessors optimized for neural shaders, fifth-generation Tensor Cores and fourth-generation Ray Tracing Cores.

NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation uses artificial intelligence to increase frame rates in supported games. NVIDIA Reflex 2 helps reduce system latency, while full ray tracing and neural rendering create more realistic lighting, reflections and environments.

The GPU delivers an advertised AI-performance rating of 3352 TOPS, making it suitable for GPU-accelerated content creation, artificial-intelligence applications, 3D rendering and demanding professional workflows.

32GB GDDR7 Memory

The card includes 32GB of high-speed GDDR7 video memory operating at 28Gbps across a 512-bit memory interface.

Its large memory capacity supports high-resolution game assets, complex 3D scenes, professional video production, AI workloads and demanding creative applications.

The card supports a maximum digital resolution of 7680 × 4320 and up to four simultaneous displays.

ROG Quad-Fan Cooling

ROG Astral introduces ASUS’s first quad-fan graphics-card cooling system. Three front Axial-tech fans work with a fourth rear fan to create a vertical airflow channel through the heatsink.

This configuration increases airflow and pressure by up to 20%, helping reduce GPU temperatures and hotspots during sustained gaming, rendering and AI workloads.

Patented Vapor Chamber

A patented vapor chamber uses milled pathways that allow heatpipes to connect without being flattened, improving contact and heat-transfer efficiency.

ASUS MaxContact technology increases the effective contact surface between the GPU heat spreader and thermal solution. A phase-change GPU thermal pad fills microscopic gaps to improve heat transfer and long-term cooling performance.

Premium Power Delivery

High-current 80-amp MOSFETs provide additional power-delivery headroom for demanding workloads and overclocking.

Power Detector+ monitors the individual power pins in the 16-pin connector and can alert the user if an abnormal connection is detected.

A protective conformal coating helps protect the PCB from moisture, dust and debris. ASUS Auto-Extreme manufacturing completes the soldering process in a single automated pass to improve consistency and reliability.

Reinforced Metal Construction

The die-cast frame, shroud and metal backplate reinforce the graphics card and help protect its large PCB.

ASUS GPU Guard secures the GPU at all four corners, while a dedicated mounting bracket distributes pressure more evenly. A stainless-steel I/O bracket and bundled graphics-card holder provide additional support after installation.

Dual BIOS and FanConnect II

A physical Dual BIOS switch lets users choose between Performance and Quiet operating profiles.

Performance mode uses a more aggressive fan curve for lower operating temperatures. Quiet mode reduces fan speed during moderate workloads while maintaining the same primary power target and maximum performance settings.

Two FanConnect II headers allow compatible chassis fans to respond directly to GPU or CPU temperatures for improved system-wide airflow.

ASUS GPU Tweak III

ASUS GPU Tweak III provides performance tuning, monitoring and fan-control functionality. Users can access OC mode, Silent mode, an automatic OC scanner and voltage-frequency controls.

Integrated sensors monitor the GPU, VRAM, chokes and voltage-regulation components, allowing users to view temperature information through the software’s Thermal Map.
